Ryan began his career in 1999 as a software developer and gradually gravitated towards project and programme management in the e-commerce industry where he spent the first 12 years of his career. Becoming increasingly disillusioned by the systems in place that seemed to prevent people from being happy and creative at work, he left to do an MBA at Warwick University where he wrote his dissertation on the effectiveness of Lean-Agile ways of working in the e-commerce industry.
He subsequently trained as a personal coach and re-entered the corporate world as a Lean-Agile coach. He has helped to transform and transition teams and departments to Lean-Agile ways of working in UK, Canada, and Germany. Industries span retail, supply chain, publishing, government, travel, packaged software, investment banking, and wealth management.
He currently facilitates teams and programmes in the finance industry to align and work more effectively together. Ryan is a regular speaker about Agile topics, and is co-organiser of the London Management 3.0 Meetup Group.
